Morning Yoga & Mindfulness at the Residential Academy

By LPDF Team · August 2025

How a daily yoga routine helps tribal girls at the Last Person Academy build discipline, physical fitness, and emotional resilience.

The Challenge

For many of the girls arriving at the Academy, the daily yoga routine is their first structured introduction to physical wellness and mindfulness practice.

Our Approach

Instructors weave in breathing exercises and short meditation sessions alongside the physical postures, building emotional resilience alongside discipline.

The Impact

Staff say the routine's biggest impact is quieter than it looks — steadier moods, better focus in class, and a stronger sense of community among the residents.
